How does one open an International House of Pancake franchise

We all prefer going out for eating.  We all have our most favorite restaurants that truly match our taste. The affordable price range and the special offers make the dining even more special.

There are a lot of restaurants and eateries that you always like to visit. You can choose those who major in breakfasts or lunches. Some restaurants only have dinner options. Lunch is served in some of the restaurants. Some of the restaurants have been operating for a long time now. Others have just opened.

One of the more famous restaurants is IHOP. It has been around since 1958 when it established its first store in Toluca Lake, California. The parent company of IHOP, Dine Equity Inc has outlets in 49 states, Mexico and Canada. It has become one of the favorite family restaurants. The restaurant offers breakfast, lunch and also dinner for the customers.

How to start an IHOP franchise?

You need to have at least 1.5 million which is close to $500,000 to start a franchise. In order to get the approval you need to have little bit of experience in this field of work. The company doesn't assist you to finance your franchise. So if you do not have all of the cash for the franchise fee, be prepared to talk to a bank.

Once you are approved, you will be brought to the main office for training while the store is still in construction. The outlet is constructed following strict guidelines and other requirements. The place should accommodate 185 people.  The area population should be between 25,000 to 50,000. The size of the lot should be 40,000 to 50,000 square feet. This allows for enough parking space for your customers.

Owning an IHOP franchise is a good idea if you have both business and restaurant experience. If you meet all the requirements you will get the necessary training. Though the chain will help you with the food and training. You will have to hire the employees on your own. It helps that the chain provides employment application templates, but you will have to interview them.
